Q: Tell us a little about yourself e.g. what you do for work and play.
A: I have just started working full time as office manager for my fiancé in his companies JR Works group and also Bay Cranes. I fill all of my spare time in with riding and competing my horses in eventing but I also enjoy getting out in my garden and playing a bit of netball when possible.
Q: When did you start doing Pilates?
A: I started doing Pilates almost 6 months ago - I wanted to gain good core strength to benefit my horse riding.
Q: How has Pilates helped you?
A: Well I now have good core strength! I am also a lot more flexible - I can now touch my toes with straight legs which I haven't been able to do since I was very young.
Q: What do you like most about Pilates?
A: I love that no matter your level, Pilates can always give you a workout - if you have mastered a movement there's always an extra element you can add to make it challenging again.
Q: What do you find the most difficult?
A: Getting to my 6am class on time!
Q: What's your favourite class?
A: I do two sessions a week and both are so different - I love my Wednesday 7am one because it is a wonderful way to start my day and I feel calm and healthy after, my Thursday morning one gives me a kick because it is higher intensity and it's more physically challenging.
Q: Do you play any sports or partake in other physical activities outside of the studio?
A: Yes, eventing and netball.
Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?
A: Alyssa's teaching is spot on, she is always watching and guiding you through movements to ensure you are getting the most out of the session. Five stars!
