We had a great turn out for our Studio Open Day this past weekend! A big welcome to those who joined our tribe. We look forward to seeing you in the studio!

 

Client Spotlight - Meet Trish

 

 

Q: Tell us a little about yourself e.g. what you do for work and play.

 

A: My Husband Emmett and I are imports to Kerikeri and loving this great community. I have been truly blessed with a very successful Hair & Beauty career. With a change of lifestyle, earlier this year I studied sat my Real Estate License and joined Emmett and Harcourts in the Investment, Sales & Rental office.

 

Q: What made you decide to join Aligned Movement?

 

A: This is an excellent question! With a change of lifestyle and an ever increasing waistline looking like the Bay of Islands... I decided it was time to get off the study chair and away from the comfort food and coffee. I've always been an early morning exerciser... so trying to find something that would fit into my new work schedule and also keep me interested as I get bored very quickly. I searched the internet and found that Aligned Movement could offer what I was looking for. Alyssa, who owns Aligned Movement, is such a treasure and certainly knows her stuff and understands how to keep you motivated....

 

Q: What classes do you take?

 

A: I do two classes a week; Pilates Mat & Pilates Circuit.

 

Q: Which class is your favourite? Why?

 

A: Love both the classes I go to, it challenges me to achieve at my own pace and level without any damage to my body. If I can't do an exercise there is always an alternative.

 

Q: How have our classes helped you?

 

A: I feel great... both physically and mentally. I've noticed my body has changed since starting Pilates for the better. A reduction in the pain level to almost nil in my lower back... that's got to be a good thing! (Thanks, Alyssa)

 

Q: Do you play any sports or partake in other physical activities outside of the studio?

 

A: I like to walk, but I seem to have procrastinated about this. However, I have registered to walk the Half marathon in November, so watch this space!

 

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?

 

A: Since joining Aligned Movement, I've made some great friends and the highlight of my week is attending my pilates classes. Aligned Movement is more than Pilates, I did enjoy the Burlesque classes, gutted an old dancing injury has prevented me from continuing... a great bunch of ladies. Recently I was involved in helping Alyssa with the Alzheimer's memory walk... what great fun we had. Thank you, Alyssa, for arriving into our community and being the amazing, caring and funny person you are!
