I hope everyone had a great weekend and that all of our mummies had a lovely Mother's Day!
Wowie! What a great start to the month! Our TRX classes have been selling out, so we've added another TRX class on Tuesdays @ 6:00 AM to accommodate demand. Gain strength, build up your endurance, and improve your flexibility!
Also, I wanted to see if there is interest for a 7:30 PM TRX class on a Thursday? I know it's a bit late, but it's the only evening time we can put on at the moment when the studio is available. Please express your interest by replying to this email.
We also had a great turn out for our Intro to Pilates Workshop & Pilates for Riders Workshop the weekend before! So watch this space for more events like these coming up in the future.

Client Spotlight - Meet Greg!
Q: Tell us a little about yourself e.g. what you do for work and play.
A: I moved to Kerikeri in February from Wellington, and I own my own building company RGS Home Builders. My playtime is spent enjoying my two young boys aged 7 and 4, cycling and digging hole after hole in the garden for my wife to plant trees.
Q: What made you decide to join Aligned Movement?
A: My wife booked me in for the new client special, and I was keen to try something new. Having experienced a few sporting injuries including surgery from my younger days, I understood the benefits that Aligned Movement could provide if I consistently attended.
Q: What classes do you take?
A: Mat classes and Barre. I'm hoping to also attend TRX.
Q: Which class is your favourite? Why?
A: I really enjoy both classes, but Barre is so much more of a challenge for my mind, body, intensity and coordination. Men need to drop their man card and give Barre a go; the women don't bite.
Q: How have our classes helped you?
A: The classes have helped with less back pain from a stronger core and increased flexibility.
Q: Do you play any sports or partake in other physical activities outside of the studio?
A: Outside the studio I enjoy road cycling, helping at my son's football and a little bit of running.
Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?
A: Alyssa's teaching style is one of a kind. Totally professional but at the same time light-hearted and full of humor. Her knowledge is outstanding and the way she critiques individuals show that she is so passionate about the clients getting the most out of a class as possible.
Here's a Tip!
We see a lot of our clients coming in with tight hip flexors, which in turn causes restriction of movement and often pain. We want to try to alleviate this problem by strengthening the tooshy. Here's an easy exercise for you to do at home to get your butt into gear!
1. Get into the position shown here in the photo
2. 16x Micro Pulses Up
3. 16x Tiny Circles Each Direction
(from the hip)
4. 16 Count Hold
5. Repeat Other Leg
