Hi Team,

How are you? Have you been putting as much time in yourself as you deserve? Scheduling your "ME" time is crucial to keeping your commitment to yourself and reaching your goals. When you set aside time to focus on your breath, whether it's practising meditation or joining in on one of our Pilates or Yoga classes, your body will naturally go into its restorative mode. This not only offers stress-relieving benefits, but it allows the rest of your body to function properly when practised on a regular basis.

So - that leads me to ask, what motivates you? When you walked into the studio for the very first time, what was it that made you so excited to join? And when you can't make it into the studio, what's stopping you? Is this a reoccurring theme, or many one-off events?

If you're keen to share and need to be held accountable like me, reply with your answers so we can see what we can do to help!

Client Success Story - Meet Deanne

"I would like to express my thanks to the team at Aligned Movement, especially my Pilates instructors Alyssa and Asita. In November 2017 I joined the Aligned Movement studio determined to improve my general well being and the mobility in my left shoulder which was so restricted I could barely do up my own bra strap. For reasons unknown to me, the restriction in my shoulders had started in my right shoulder 18 months earlier, and after eventually correcting itself it transferred to my left shoulder. Because of excruciating pain, I became fearful of moving it and had begun to withdraw from previously enjoyable past times such as long-distance ocean swimming and horse riding. Mentally I got very down as I had resigned myself to the fact that I may never regain full mobility of my shoulder. However, within a short period of time attending Aligned Movement Pilates classes just twice a week I started to notice small, but definite improvements to the point where I have now regained 95% of my shoulder mobility. The instruction and encouragement I received from Alyssa and Asita have been exceptionally kind and professional. They seemed to understand the cause of my shoulder restriction and could guide me towards exercises that made a significant difference. I had no idea how 'muscle-bound' my back, neck and shoulders were and how focused, consistent exercises could help. I am so grateful to Aligned Movement for being part of my recovery journey. I know I still have a long way to go and look forward to when the muscles in my back are more relaxed and mobile. I would encourage anyone suffering from this type of injury to contact Alyssa at Aligned Movement and be encouraged in a safe, professional and fun wellness environment."

It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”
